First Aid and Pre-Hospital Care Courses
As well as enjoying the outdoors the team at AOAC are passionate about teaching the life saving skills of first aid. Several of our team have key roles with local emergency services including ambulance service first responders, coastguard and search and rescue teams.
We offer a range of fully accredited courses that meet and often exceed Health and Safety Executive guidance for workplace first aid and paediatric courses for those working with younger children and need an Ofsted compliant course. We also offer courses for fellow outdoor professionals for those who hold national governing body awards. Those looking for advanced level courses we deliver the industry leading First Response Emergency Care (FREC) courses at Level 3 and 4.
Open Courses
Throughout the year we deliver open access courses for those who want to obtain a regulated first aid qualification. These courses inlcude the Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), one day and two day Level 3 Outdoor First Aid courses (OFA1 and OFA2) and combined Level 3 Emergency Paediatric and Emergency First Aid at Work courses.
For those wishing to learn the basic skills we are proud to offer free basic life support courses throughout the year.
All courses are limited to 12 people per course.
Basic Life Support - Free
This two hour course covers the primary assessment, CPR, using an AED, and controling life threatening bleeding. Participants must be over 14 years old.
OFA 1 - £100 pp inc VAT.
This eight hour course covers key elements of basic first aid essential for outdoor adventures. Participants must be over 16 years old.
EFAW - £90.00 pp inc VAT.
This six hour course covers key elements of basic first aid. Participants must be over 14 years old.
OFA 2 - £150 pp inc VAT.
This sixteen hour course covers a variety of topics and is often a requirement for those who hold national governing body awards in ourtdoor activities. Participants must be over 16 years old.

Closed Courses
We can deliver our full range of courses at your venue
In addition to the open access courses we are always happy to work with you to deliver closed courses for your team either at the centre or your premises. Prices start at £600.00 + VAT for a closed EFAW course for up to 12 participants.
